Who loves YA?
So, not only did I have two children after a horrible and mostly torturous bout of infertility, but it turns out I also really like to write. I've written for a living before, but it was always for TV and way short. This is different and I hope you approve.
Not only wrote that first YA nonfiction, but I ALSO started a new YA series because I really and truly felt like the market was lacking a little sumthin sumthin in this one area. As a young gal, I grew up on different YA series (Sweet Valley High!) that examined friendships and the trials young people go through (eating distorders, toxic relationships, coming of age, finding themselves, trust) and nowadays it seems like everything kind of revolves around Fantasy.
Personally, I looooove fantasy worlds. How great are they? But, even though I can relate to the characters on some level, it's just a different kind of read. So, here is book one of my new series. Book TWO will hit the e-shelves in a month!
